You guys! This wedding was so much fun! And that’s exactly what Lindsey and Adam wanted–a fun loving event that celebrated their love, their love of the mountains, and their love of a good time. This winter wedding came complete with the wedding party entering the ceremony processional via sleigh!
In March in the mountains of Utah you never know what you’re gonna get for weather…we were blessed with a bluebird day. Still chilly enough that the bride’s fur accents were put to good use, but no blizzard conditions. Just what our bride had hoped for.
My favorite touches were the starlit twinkle trees that we used to disguise an unsightly curtain, as well as their rustic and romantic table decorations. We combined antlers, twigs, aspen candles, succulents, and a plethora of romantically lush flowers on each table to bring it all together.
Behind the scenes….I will never forget the wind that rolled through around 5pm, just as we were setting for the ceremony. Wind will forever be my nemesis! The arch that we had constructed has withstood high winds before, but the wind on this beautiful March day was unlike any other. We had 10 sand bags brought up to support the arch and, despite my destain for the look of the bags, the arch was able to remain standing during the ceremony–priority 1. Then we wrapped the bags in linens and burlap and, mission accomplished! And of course, just as the bride began to walk down the aisle, the wind died down. Timing is everything, gah.
And these views…aren’t they just stunning? That’s gorgeous Canyons Resort in the Wasatch Mountains for you… DJ Jake Russell did a fabulous job uplighting the trees outside of the Lodge so when dusk turned to dark and he was crankin’ the dancing tunes inside, the trees surrounding the Lodge were glowing in green.
