Chalkboards, candle light, paper lanterns, lily of the valley, and classic rustic elegance.
These words describe Brigid and Andrew’s June wedding in the mountains. What a gorgeous day it was! This lovely couple wanted to keep it simple, while focusing on the beauty of the venue. Their exquisite taste blended the beauty of the mountains with a classy sophistication. The bride’s bouquet consisted entirely of lily of the valley (a la Princess Kate!) while the bridesmaids carried colorful bouquets that incorporated that pop of coral carried throughout the color scheme.
Photographer David Newkirk captured the event beautifully. Wonderfully talented photographer–you can visit his website here.
The chalkboard theme was carried throughout the event–used instead of escort cards to tell guests what table they were sitting at and as the table numbers (designed by the bride’s friend who incorporated the bride and grooms’ passion for education, since they are teachers).
The party continued in an outdoor tent full of ivory paper lanterns.
Bride and groom were sent off in style, in a decorated gondola car.
Great conclusion to the evening–seeing the gorgeous glowing lights of the city on the way down the hill, after a memorable, wonderful evening!
