Catherine & Patrick | July 2015 | Canyons at Park City Mountain | Lookout Cabin

This intimate wedding up at Park City Mountain’s Lookout Cabin was a beautiful example of organic simplicity. We incorporated succulents into both the bride’s bouquet & groom’s boutonniere and used a simple blend of baby’s breath & lavender for the bridesmaids.

Accessed via the Orange Bubble Express chairlift, Lookout Cabin makes for a stunning summer wedding venue without much over-the-top decor needed. This couple’s rustic-themed style complimented the space nicely. On cool summer nights like this, guests were able to boogie under the stars on the large open-air deck with 360° views of the Wasatch Mountains. What more could you ask for?

A funny story that I will always remember about this particular wedding was when the groom lost his wedding ring during the reception {Gasp!}. He was actually dancing so hard that it flew off of his finger and he watched it roll and fall into one of the cracks on the deck! We knew it was under the deck somewhere… and as the saying goes – If there’s a will there’s a way. Fortunately we were able to call upon Canyons’ ski patrol team for an emergency rescue. After a bit of searching beneath the deck they eventually found it – Phew! A funny story to tell the kids… :).
